The Reno Pops Orchestra invites you to savor the spirit of the American West at a free, family-friendly concert on Saturday, July 12 at Bartley Ranch Regional Park. This program will include music by John Williams, Aaron Copland, and a guest appearance by Reno’s own Lacy J. Dalton. It will also feature the premiere of Jonathan Sokol’s After-Glow, a musical depiction of “The Ballad of Katie Hoskins,” a 1948 epic poem from Nevada’s past.
Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets—no glass bottles, please—or sample local favorites from our food truck vendors, including Taco T’s, Tap Wagon, Brazilian Gourmet, and Snowie.
Under the direction of conductor and artistic director Jane K. Brown, the Reno Pops Orchestra has become a mainstay of Reno’s cultural life, delivering free, family-friendly performances that have enriched the cultural life of Northern Nevada for more than four decades.
